Announcement – People’s Choice Award Winners

Two weeks have already passed since the Tokyo International Deaf Arts Festival was held. We are now here to announce the winners of the People’s Choice Award!
This time, audience members cast their votes in the Fringe category and Film Competition category.
Based on the votes cast by audience members, who rated their favorite films, the respective awards have been decided. The following were selected based on the audience’s senses.

<Voting Process>
・Voting sheets were distributed to all audience members for each screening.
・The audience rated each film on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Only ballots that rated all of the films were considered valid.
・Star ratings were converted into numerical values and totaled; 1 star equated to 1 point, 2 stars equated to 2 points, and so on.
・Each session’s votes were tallied to give an average score, and the film with the highest overall average score was selected.
